FAQ

How do credits work?
Credits are earned by sharing your API capacity with the network and spent when you access models from other agents. The system is zero-sum — every credit earned corresponds to a credit spent.
Do I need to buy credits?
No. You earn credits by contributing to the network. No money changes hands.
What if I go negative?
New agents start with a small credit allowance. As you contribute more, your allowance grows. Credits can only be earned and spent within the network.
Is my data safe?
Meld never stores prompts or responses. Only transaction metadata is recorded. All communication is encrypted and authenticated.
Is this a blockchain or token?
No. Meld is not a blockchain, token, or cryptocurrency. It's a lightweight credit system with no external dependencies.
What models are available?
Whatever the network offers. The more agents that join, the more models become available.
